Medifilm UK Ltd were established in 2008, and primarily supply and install a system of floor marking graphics aimed at the healthcare sector, helping to create an organised environment,
Ed Taylor, who founded the company, has a varied background in many spheres of work, but particularly in Formula One motorsport, and it is this experience that led to the ideas of a 'Well Organised Environment'
Ed says 'Teamwork, organisation, and attention to detail are the pre requisites in the F1 garage and pit lane, and a lot of the disciplines have easily transferred into the highly visual products that we supply to many hospitals. Even the cleanliness of the preparation area of a sophisticated racing car can be compared with a hospital ward'
Since starting the enterprise, Medifilm have supplied over 100 UK healthcare establishments, both in the NHS and the private sector. Medifilm Mapps are a simple visual floor or wall graphic that is a representation of any particular piece of equipment found in a hospital environment, enabling that piece to have its’ own ’car parking’ space, so that staff can spend more direct care time with patients.
Using the principles of 5S visual management we also produce floor graphics for other key areas within the healthcare environment e.g. we produce floor graphics for hand gel which lead to greater compliance by patients, visitors and staff in the fight against healthcare acquired infections.
Utilising some of the most advanced large format digital printing equipment available, Medifilm are able to take a customers’ idea, and then transform this into a highly visual, and durable floor marking, that is simplicity itself. We can supply items from our stock range, or we can provide a bespoke design, and produce a graphic for any given situation. Our partners have the most advanced systems available for both design and production.
Our team are unique within their field; they have commercial, manufacturing and clinical experience (including wards, critical care and theatres) which results in the delivery of simple solutions to complex problems within any healthcare environment. |
