MediFilm UK Ltd, established in 2008, manufactures and installs a system of floor marking graphics, particularly for the Healthcare sector, focussing on Visual Management, helping to create an organised environment.

Currently working in conjunction with over 40 leading UK Trusts, MediFilm produce a simple visual floor or wall graphic that is a representation of any particular piece of equipment found in a hospital environment, enabling that piece to have its’ own ’car parking’ space, so that staff can spend more direct care time with patients. Within some hospitals direct care time has been as low as 27%, and by creating well organised clinical areas using MediFilm floor graphics valuable clinical time can be freed up to deliver patient care. Our customers are successfully using MediFilm floor graphics in a variety of settings including wards, clinical departments and operating theatres.

Using the principles of 5S visual management we also produce floor graphics for other key areas within the healthcare environment e.g. we produce floor graphics for hand gel which lead to greater compliance by patients, visitors and staff in the fight against healthcare acquired infections.

As a sister company to Digital Imaging Services, we can utilise some of the most advanced large format digital printing equipment available. MediFilm are able to take a customers’ idea, and then transform this into a highly visual, and durable floor marking, that has the added benefit of silver ion antimicrobial protection built in to the vinyl substrate.

This silver ion protection incorporated in the MediFilm surface protection, actively inhibit’s the growth of bacteria, thus minimising the risk of cross contamination, and acting as an effective aid in the battle against healthcare associated infections.

MediFilm have the ability to retro fit any surface with antimicrobial film, providing a rear guard action against the fight against infection.
